Christmas markets are undeniably one of the best parts about Christmas time. From the incredible foods that line the market stalls to the handmade gifts that can’t be found anywhere else, the atmosphere that a Christmas market creates is unmissable.
So why should you miss out if you’re staying in your holiday home in the run-up to the festive period? Luckily, we have parks situated all around the UK so if you’re staying with us, there are plenty within range of our parks.
Take a trip to a traditional winter wonderland as Leeds’ Millennium Square is transformed with over forty wooden huts, housing food stalls, drink stalls, handmade crafts and more.
With an overarching German theme, the market wouldn’t be complete without a stein full of delicious beer accompanied by live entertainment.
The Christkindelmarkt runs from the 8th of November to the 21st of December, so there is plenty of time to visit.
For a more traditional English Christmas, you can’t miss the York Christmas festival. You’ll feel like you’re walking around victorian England in the beautiful surroundings of historic York.
There are plenty of locals selling a wide variety of goods, and no Christmas is without carol singers. This market is so well organised that the city won the Best Large Speciality Market at the Great British Market Awards in 2019 and the UK’s most festive city back in 2017 – you can’t get much better than that!
The market runs from 14th of November to the 22nd of December 2019 and It makes the perfect day out from our Bridlington Links park.
One of – if not the – biggest Christmas markets in the north, the Manchester Christmas markets draws in crowds from all over the country. Offering a wide variety of international gifts and foods and a chance to experience Christmas from around the world, there are plenty of reasons to visit the northern capital around Christmas time.
With over 300 stalls situated in fitting chalets, the Christmas markets are definitely a day out for the whole family. With stalls rides, food and drink there’s plenty to do and see – and its all situated in the heart of the city centre!
You can catch the Manchester Christmas markets from the 9th of November to the 22nd of December and it can be easily accessed for a day trip from our Primrose Bank, Bowland Lakes Leisure Village, Fell End, Hall More, Docker Park, The Yealands, Borwick Lakes, South Lakeland parks.
If you don’t mind travelling a little further for a market that is guaranteed to impress, we definitely recommend visiting Edinburgh around their Christmas Market season.
With stalls aplenty, entertainment, rides and lots of other events happening in and around the market itself, it really is like you’ve been transported to a Scottish winter wonderland.
The markets last a little longer here, too – you can enjoy visiting from the 16th of November to the 4th of January 2020! Keep that Christmas spirit going a little longer!
If you’re staying in our Trawsfynydd Leisure Village park, you’ll be looking for a Christmas market in Wales. Situated in Snowdonia, you’ll already be feeling pretty Christmassy – but a Christmas market is the icing on the cake.
Llandudno holds a Christmas fair every year which brings together a whole host of local artisans selling their wares. You can pick up some delicious local foods, and handmade gifts while strolling around the beautiful Victorian town.
With 150 stalls to browse, there is plenty to choose from, and it’s not that far away from the Trawsfynydd park!
You can attend the Llandudno Christmas fair from the 14th to the 17th of November.

Christmas Market at Delapre Abbey
Are you preparing for Christmas and looking for festive-themed products, decorations, wreaths, cards and more? The market has it all and runs on a single day – 30th November.
Our Silverhill and Tydd St Giles parks are perfectly situated to visit the Lincoln Christmas markets. Over 20 stalls are just waiting for you to browse and buy, situated in and around the famous Lincoln castle and cathedral – perfect for a wintery-themed day.
Enjoy a glass of hot mulled wine while you peruse the various stalls, watch live entertainment and even enjoy the rides that are dotted about the market.
You can visit the Lincoln Christmas market between the 5th and 8th of December – be sure not to miss it!
