Arrival From the Highlands

23 December 2013

Presenting the brand new Scottish inspired lodge this year (2013/14) that’s both classic and contemporary all in one.

The Glen Mhor has come out of extensive research and development within the leisure and park home industry. It offers a modern home with designer flair that is also practical and more importantly, affordable.

Visually appealing, the lodge represents excellence in engineering. Clad in Siberian larch, which is bang on trend at the moment and a nod to the Grand Designs Kevin McCloud favours, this asymmetric roofed lodge, with grey windows, cuts a fine figure from the outside. It definitely has a head turning visual appearance.

Interiors

Once you are inside there’s more to delight within. The décor is a cut above and the ambience delightful. It’s easy to imagine snuggling up on the sofa and watching the world go by.

There is an ergonomic kitchen, the use of space is highly intelligent, the colour schemes inspiring, all creating an environment where you could see yourself holidaying happily ever after.

There’s plenty of natural light flooding in with floor to ceiling windows to the front end and bi-fold doors. This not only looks good but is also great when it comes to saving money on lighting. A big plus in these expensive energy times.

The lodge has vaulted ceilings and is wallpapered and carpeted throughout. It also has LPG Gas Combi central heating with contemporary radiators to help keep you cosy when the sun goes down and the autumn evenings are chilly.

Other highlights include solid oak internal doors with chrome handles, Roman blinds to the side windows of the lounge and bathrooms, and lined curtains to the front gable of the lounge and master bedroom.

The modern kitchen, which has contrasting units, doors and worktop, has integrated, branded appliances including a dishwasher, washing machine, an integrated fridge freezer, a glass hob, a single built-in oven and microwave and a black granite sink with chrome tap.

You don’t just get the kitchen sink with this lodge, you also get a contemporary furniture pack for the lounge and dining area with a suite, dining table and chairs, coffee table and fireplace. There are also beds, mattresses, headboards, duvets, pillows, duvet covers and pillow cases in all the bedrooms.

Storage

And if you’re worried about where you’re going to store all your holiday outfits, fear not. There’s a walk-in wardrobe/dressing area too.

If you’ve been out on the park walking, golfing or horse riding, to help wash off the dust and dirt the en suite includes a shower and the main bathroom has a corner bath.

Still not happy? Well there’s always the optional upgrade with iPod®/iPhone® docking stations and a sound system.

Built to BS 3632, in 40’x 20’, 45’x 20’ and 48’x 20’ versions, the three-bedroom Glen Mhor also comes in an eco version and is available at Tydd St Giles Golf & Leisure Estate, Billing Aquadrome, South Lakeland Leisure Village and Crook O’ Lune Holiday Park.
