Camping Holidays & Glamping Holidays Across the UK
Fresh air, clean country smells, and stunning scenery. Camping is a beautifully simple way to embrace the outdoors and enjoy quality time with your family and friends.
Camp the Way You Want
Even in an activity as seemingly straightforward as camping, everyone has different tastes and preferences. Some like to camp with minimal equipment and no creature comforts, while others prefer a more luxurious experience. Whichever category you fall into, we can cater for you.
We have some pitches with electric hook-up points, so if you want to bring a few mod-cons with you (such as your phone chargers) you can do.
Pitch Your Tent with Pure Leisure
Sometimes it turns out that the simplest holidays are the most satisfying. And what could be simpler than camping? Once you’ve put up your tent, you’re free to enjoy yourself however you like – walk, swim, fish, eat, drink, relax.
So come and enjoy the outdoors in one of our picturesque parks – you can book your pitch online now if you’re ready.

If You’re More a ‘Glamper’ than a Camper
If you especially like your creature comforts, you might want to stay in one of our camping pods at Fell End instead of bringing your own tent. With heating and lighting included, think of it as luxury camping. For even more cosiness and convenience, try our exciting new woodland retreats.
What are Camping Pods?
Our camping pods could be described as miniature log cabins shaped like tents. The timber walls are insulated and there’s a panel heater inside – so even in the colder months you’ll stay nice and warm. (You can read the full list of features further below. As you’ll see, we’ve left no stone unturned!)
Camping pods offer you a way to enjoy the outdoors in maximum comfort and with minimal fuss. The only things you’ll need to set up are your sleeping bags or camping beds – other than that, you can step right in and get comfy straight away.
Each pod sleeps four people (two adults and two children), so they offer a great way to spend a weekend away with the family. You’ll have a bathroom and cleaning facilities just a short stroll away, so everyone can have a shower and feel refreshed each morning – or after a long day of exploration and enjoyment.
Some call it glamping (glamorous camping), because it blends more traditional camping with cosiness and creature comforts that aren’t guaranteed in a tent. Glamping is a great way to enjoy the glorious outdoors without compromising your comfort or your luxuries.
It’s becoming increasingly popular amongst couples and families across the country because it’s a sophisticated take on a simple activity.
You can enjoy a glamping trip in three of our UK holiday parks:
- Fell End – a 28-acre woodland hideaway in the Southern Lake District
- Hall More – a picturesque 10-acre hideaway in the Southern Lake District
- Billing Aquadrome – a 235-acre lake-laden paradise in Northamptonshire’s Nene Valley
All three locations are fully equipped for unforgettable family holidays and surrounded by greenery – offering you and your family plenty of opportunities to enjoy the UK countryside in all its glory. They are also perfect for peaceful relaxation and outdoor fun, offering activities such as swimming, fishing and walking.
Features of Our Camping Pods
Glamping usually involves staying in something a bit more comfortable and sturdy than the average tent. Our camping pods are shaped just like tents, but they’re made out of thick timber and have solid pitched roofs. There’s much more to them than a sturdy frame though. Here are the main features:
- Insulated walls
- A panel heater – which is invaluable during the chilly nights of the winter months
- Soft vinyl flooring – for homely comfort
- An electricity socket – so no need to worry about phone batteries running out
- Interior lighting
- An exterior entrance light
- A window – providing natural light and fresh air
- A double-glazed panel entrance door (with a multi-lock)
- A veranda – for dining and relaxation
They sleep up to four (two adults and two children). Your bathrooms and cleaning facilities will be just a short stroll away from your pod, so you can take a hot shower every morning and freshen up whenever you like.
Features of our Woodland Retreats
At our Fell End park, you can now glamp even more glamorously in one of our woodland retreats. They’re almost like miniature lodges, and they have patio doors running the whole length of one wall to let in a great deal of natural light. Here’s what they contain:
- A kitchen (featuring a microwave, cooker, hob, sink and fridge)
- A bathroom (with a shower, toilet, basin and heated towel rail)
- A pull-down double bed
- A sofa
- A pull-out table
- Outdoor decking (plus a table and two chairs)
- Good insulation
- Double-glazed windows and doors
