Eco tourism

Pure Leisure Group considers environmental preservation as a necessary aspect of parkland management. They have achieved recognition for their contribution with Fell End, Hall More, Tydd St Giles and South Lakeland Leisure Village being awarded the prestigious David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award,  and Silver for Crook O’Lune.

Conservation work includes the planting of 15,000 trees at Tydd St Giles. The use of eco-friendly chemicals and the collection of rainwater for golf course irrigation. Using surplus wood as mulch for weed management. And the creation of a woodland path at Bridlington Links.

In support of sustainable eco tourism, nearly 90 acres of land has been donated for the development of the Fell End Nature Reserve. Which places great emphasis upon ecological preservation for present and future generations. With the planting of native flowers, the construction of earth walls, the installation of a viewing Hide and much more.

The Nature Reserve opened in March 2018. Development of the reserve continues with future hides and walks.
