8 of the Best Places to Eat in Northampton

7 June 2019

Northampton

Here at Pure Leisure we have a selection of holiday parks in the beautiful county of Northamptonshire. A charming shire known for its picturesque villages and historic buildings.

However, the area also has some fantastic places to eat and here are just some of our favourite Northampton restaurants.

Magee Street Bakery

This independent artisan bakery and coffee shop are known for their wild yeast sourdough breads and hand-roasted coffees. With some of the best pastries and breads in the area, thanks to their classic methods and use of the finest ingredients.

All their produce is hand made every day. It can either be enjoyed in their coffee shop or taken away with you.

La Terraza Tapas Bar

For an authentic taste of Spain right here in Northampton, head to La Terraza, a tapas bar with branches in both Grange Park and Upton.

With chefs hailing from Seville and Murcia, you’re guaranteed the real deal, with a range of delicious fresh tapas.

Akasaka

Featuring handmade Japanese and Korean cuisine, Akasaka is one of the best places to head for Asian fusion food in Northampton. With a team of award-winning chefs specialising in incredible sushi.

While they specialise in sushi, there are over 120 different dishes. Ranging from various sushi to grilled food such as steak, tempura, rice and noodles and more.

Lighthouse

A pub that also specialises in fish and chips, all of the fish at Lighthouse is delivered fresh that day. Resulting in some of the best fish and chips you’ll have tasted!

What’s more, once you’ve finished your meal you can enjoy a pint of fine craft lagers and some live sport on TV too!

Dreams Coffee Lounge

Described as ‘more than a coffee shop’, this hidden gem is tucked away right in the heart of Northampton on St. Giles Street and is ideal for breakfast, lunch or just afternoon tea.

All their dishes are made to order. They’re known for providing a great range of gluten and dairy-free products such as soups, toasted sandwiches and cakes.

Eat Saigon

This Vietnamese restaurant has received a lot of hype on social media. As well as on TripAdvisor, but thankfully the food backs up that hype!

Whether you love Vietnamese cuisine or have never tried it before, it’s definitely worth a try if you’re in the area!

The Sun Inn

Situated in the village of Kislingbury, the Sun Inn is a true country pub located just a couple of miles out of Northampton. Known for serving up delicious food alongside their offer of real ales.

A true taste of a traditional Northamptonshire village. It’s definitely worth the trip out of town for a proper pub lunch.

Sophias

Sophias has been a regular fixture of the Northampton restaurants dining scene for over 20 years. Serving up Mediterranean cuisine in the heart of the city, it’s known for its excellent customer service.

Something of an old fashioned restaurant (in the best possible way), Sophias has a feeling of familiarity, matched by its excellent Mediterranean dishes.

These are just some of the great places that you’ll find to eat in the surrounding area if you choose to stay at one of our Northampton holiday parks, so why not visit us soon?
