No matter what time of year you visit Lincolnshire, there’s plenty to keep you entertained while you’re here.

If you need a little inspiration to get your days filled, just take a look at some of our favourite places and things to do in Lincolnshire, and start planning your next holiday to Silverhill.

Lincolnshire Wildlife Park

Lincolnshire Wildlife Park is not just like any other wildlife park. In fact, there are many things about this park that set it apart. From the largest number of Bengal tigers in the UK (they have 11!) to the National Parrot Sanctuary which the park is home to.

There is a huge variety of wonderful animals to visit here, including Nigel the Puma, marmoset monkeys, bearded dragons and over 1,000 rehomed parrots and parakeets.

The park is open from 10am – 5pm from March – October and 10am – 4pm from November – February.

Lincoln Castle

Take in some history of the local area when you visit Lincoln Castle. The castle was built by William the Conqueror and has seen nearly 1,000 years of Lincoln history. There are plenty of fascinating things about Lincoln Castle, such as the fact that it is now the only place in the world where you can find an original 1215 Magna Carta and 1217 Charter of the Forest.

The castle is open from 10am – 5pm from April – October and 10am – 4pm from the end of October – March.

Tickets cost £5.50 for children, £14 for adults, £11 concessions.

Fantasy Island Theme Park

Located in the seaside town of Skegness, Fantasy Island Theme Park is a fantastic place for the whole family. There are a number of different rides from the thrilling ‘Millennium’ to the family-friendly balloon ride. The park offers so much to do, you’ll struggle to fit it all into one day. As well as all the rides at the theme park, you can also find other attractions such as ten-pin bowling, adventure golf and go-karting.

There are different opening times at the park depending on the time of year and day of the week. Find out more about their opening times on their website.

Belton House

This English country house estate consists of a grand mansion surrounded by beautiful gardens. Within the house, there is a fantastic collection of porcelain and silver, as well as a library. If you venture out into the grounds, you may meet Belton’s resident wild herd of fallow deer, a herd which is descended from the original herd that took up residence on the estate in the 17th century.

Different parts of the house and estate are open at different times of year, so make sure to check out the website before visiting.

Tickets are from £6.90 for children and from £9.25 for adults. Seasonal variation applies.

RSPB Frampton Marsh

Get outdoors and enjoy some of the natural beauty of Lincolnshire at Frampton Marsh, a nature reserve where you can find an abundance of local wildlife. If you keep an eye out, you may be able to see some of the species which call Frampton Marsh home. From the Avocet to the Redshank, there are lots of different birds to spot on the reserve.

The reserve is open all year round. There is a visitor centre onsite which is open every day except Christmas Day.

Entry £1 for children, £2 for adults
