The Lake District is a fantastic place to visit at any time of year, and Halloween is no exception. Halloween at Muncaster Castle

The castle claims to be one of the most haunted castles in Britain. It supposedly houses the spirit known as Tom Fool, also known as Thomas Skelton, who was the last jester of the castle. Skelton was known for playing tricks on guests but may have had a more sinister and murderous side to him.

With plenty of other hauntings to speak of, Muncaster Castle is the perfect location for Halloween events and with a week full of spooky celebrations, you won’t be disappointed. With events and activities such as the scary maze, Muncaster monster cabaret, twilight owls and the castle Halloween tour, there is plenty to check out this Halloween.

Halloween Masquerade Ball at Beech Hill Hotel

This Halloween, Beech Hill Hotel is hosting a very exciting event for grown-ups, the Halloween Masquerade Ball. For £49, you can attend this glamorous evening. Where you will be treated to Champagne and canapés before tucking into a gourmet four-course meal.

Walby Farm Park is a great place for the whole family to visit. And with plenty of Halloween activities to take part in, this is the perfect time to visit. There will be several different activities taking place throughout the week and every child will receive a free pumpkin.

As well as Halloween-themed activities, your children can play in the play areas. And meet the many animals, including donkeys, alpacas, pigs and reindeer.
