Cook – Bridlington Links
Job Purpose
As a Cook, you will be supporting the Head Chef in delivering consistently high-quality food, ensuring the highest standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities / Duties will include:
- Preparing food
- Ensure that all food is served at a safe and appropriate temperature using probes where necessary
- Maintaining excellent standards
- Assisting in the preparation and cooking
- Assisting with menu changes
- Cleaning down the kitchen at the end of service
- Maintaining excellent standards of hygiene
- Maintain sufficient stock levels of all food
- To aid stocktaking in conjunction with the Head Chef
- To undergo specific training as indicated by the Manager
- Assisting the manager replenishing stock ensuring comply with stock rotation requirements
- Take all reasonable steps to protect the health, safety and welfare of all employees, patrons and visitors, by promoting safe working practices
- Ensuring that all faults and defects, equipment, tools, buildings, etc., within the remit of the bar and restaurant are reported to your line manager.
Education / Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- Have a passion for food, hospitality and be a team player
- Previous experience working in a kitchen setting
- Good communication skills
- Be willing to learn
- The Right to work in the UK
- Have or willing to work towards Food and Safety & Food Hygiene certificate
