Holiday Park Warden – South Lakeland Leisure Village
We are recruiting for a Holiday Park Warden to come and join our Maintenance team at South Lakeland Leisure Village, Carnforth.
Summary
The Maintenance Team undertake the day-to-day maintenance of the park in accordance with Company policies, and in a manner which maximises the benefits of the facilities to holiday home owners and holiday guests. As Park Warden you will be responsible for daily maintenance tasks and all call outs during your working days, including out of hours work.
Please note that this role is a full time, permanent position and involves working every weekend.
Responsibilities
- To undertake gas deliveries, as required, in line with Company policy
- To assist with the maintenance of the buildings, holiday homes, grounds, fences, public areas and development sites as directed by the Operations Manager
- To note and report any work requiring attention line manager as soon as possible (e.g. burst pipes, dangerous steps, paths and services, etc.)
- Ensure all chargeable work undertaken is reported for invoicing in line with Company procedure and followed through approval from purchasing manager
- Assist with minor repairs and other maintenance activities in line with your skills and professional competence such as drain downs and siting’s along with basic grass cutting
- To assist in the implementation of legal and/or site rules in a diplomatic way and reporting failure to comply (e.g. speeding vehicles, dogs not on leads etc.) and any other reasonable requests from General Manager
- To serve the public in the most courteous and efficient manner including effective handling of enquiries and complaints, ensuring issues are reported in accordance with company instructions
- Check Bore Hole & Reed Bed and reporting any anomalies to line manager if applicable to park
- To undergo specific training as indicated by the Manager as and when required
- Take all reasonable steps to protect the health, safety and welfare of all employees, patrons and visitors, by promoting safe working practices
- Comply with company policies, rules and procedures at all times
- Any other duties as required by your line manager commensurate with your role
- Maintaining a presence on the park
- Responding out of hours to guest queries
- Working under guidance and instruction from the park manager to ensure the effective & efficient operation of the business
- A willingness to attend to any tasks and be prepared to work flexible hours
- To undergo specific training as indicated by the Manager as and when required

Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Strong maintenance and general repairs/DIY skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent organisational skills, with an attention to detail
- A driving licence and the ability to drive is essential
- A professional manner when dealing with customers and colleagues alike.
- Ability to work under pressure, in a calm and efficient manner to set deadlines
