The Wisteria is a 40ft x 20ft lodge and the width shows. The open-plan living area has a vaulted ceiling that runs the full length of the space, with the kitchen, dining, and lounge all flowing together naturally. Patio doors open straight onto the front deck. It feels more like a house than a holiday home.
The kitchen is a proper U-shape with an island peninsula, integrated appliances, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. That last detail matters if you’re planning longer stays. The main bathroom has a full-size bath as well as a separate shower, which isn’t something every lodge at this level offers. The master bedroom is a good-sized double with a dedicated walk-in wardrobe.
South Lakeland sits where the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales meet. From this base, Windermere, Coniston, and the Arnside & Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are all within 30 minutes. It’s one of the few parks in the region where both national parks are genuinely on your doorstep.
On the park: the Waters Edge Bar & Restaurant with lakeside decking, heated indoor pool, gym, steam room, spa, and fishing. Everything you need without leaving the site, and two national parks when you do.
