Charity Balls at Pure Leisure

Every July, Pure Leisure Group Owner John Morphet hosts a themed charity ball in the grounds of their UK family home in South Cumbria. Hundreds of guests attend, enjoying the best of entertainment, great food and a fun atmosphere, and most importantly, raising much needed cash for local, regional and national charities!

Attended by a host of well know celebrities the first Annual Ball was held in 2003 and as a direct result of these events and holiday prizes donated to other regional and national charity fundraisers in excess of half a million pounds has been raised to date

  1. ‘03 1st Annual Charity Ball – ‘A Caribbean Ball’ Held on Saturday 26th July 2003. 125 guests enjoyed the event, held in support of Royal Lancaster Infirmary Children’s Ward, raising £11,500
  2. ‘04 2nd Annual Charity Ball – ‘The Captains Table’ Held on Saturday 17th July 2002. 140 guests enjoyed the event, held in support of Royal Lancaster Infirmary Children’s Ward, raising £12,100
  3. ‘05 3rd Annual Charity Ball – ‘James Bond 007’ Held on Saturday 9th July 2005. 146 guests enjoyed the event, held in support of Multiple Sclerosis Society Westmorland, raising £12,500.
  4. ‘06 4th Annual Charity Ball – ‘The Oscars’ Held on Saturday 8th July 2006. 180 guests enjoyed the event, held in support of the British Red Cross, raising £14,500.
  5. ‘06 ‘A Tanzanite Ball’ Held on Friday 8th September 2006 at South Lakeland Leisure Village. 180 guests enjoyed the event, held in support of Cancer Care Lancaster, raising £11,000.
